At the heart of our church are our Life Groups (Home Groups). When the current health crisis is over we look forward to getting back to our normal pattern of weekly get-togethers that tastefully and without being uncomfortable for anybody combine the social as well as the spiritual!
In the meantime watch out for your Zoom online net-meetings – see our facebook groups for the link to follow each week for our get-togethers at 7.30pm for 8pm each Wednesday – thanks!
LifeGroups meet on Tuesday and some Wednesday evenings (ask for details) in The Vineyard and LifeHouse, 153-155 Albert Road (corner of Harold Road), Southsea.
A LifeGroup is a small gathering (between 6 to 12 people) that meets on a regular basis to ‘do life’ together. It is an effective way for everyone to feel personally connected to the church community and to enjoy a mid-week meeting amongst a smaller number of friends in a warm and positive atmosphere.
We hope it proves to always be a place where we have a real meeting with God as well as a real meeting with each other. These meetings often include some worship music, a talk or discussion, and opportunity for prayer. Every group has its own flavour and personality and no two are alike! Some eat lots of cake, some do lots of socials, some can do active or out-reach type activities in the city – but despite their differences they are all committed to helping us learn to be more like Jesus and for him to make a real and lasting impact in our day-to-day lives.
We believe that LifeGroups enable an environment where people can grow in their friendship with each other and with God.
LifeGroups are open meetings, you do not have to belong to this or any church to attend – you don’t have to believe in God or Jesus – although that can be wonderful! Everybody is welcome to join us – and to bring friends too. Do contact June or Mike on 07800 933983 for further details.
